If you are residing in Japan and holding the Residence Card of a particular visa status, you must submit a notification to the Minister of Justice when you change your job or school related to your visa status (e.g. leaving from the accepting organization, commencement of the contract with a new accepting organization or graduation from school/university).
Organizations/entities or schools accepting Residence Card holders with a particular visa status have to inform the commencement and/or termination of the acceptance.
Those who are holding Residence Card based on the status as a spouse must report of the divorce or the death of the spouse.
Notification of the Accepting Organization(活動機関に関する届出)
In case you are holding a visa status listed below, you need to submit this notification to the Immigratioin Office within 14 days after the following event occurs;
- Change of name, change of address, and extincition of the accepting organization.
- Leaving from the accepting organization due to change/quit of the job, graduation etc.
- Entering into the new accepting organization due to change of the job, admission etc.
- Leaving from and enter into the organization (to notify the leaving and entering at the same time).

Professor (教授), HSP1-c (高度専門職1号ハ), HSP2(高度専門職2号), Business Manager(経営・管理), Legal/Accounting Services(法律・会計業務), Medical Services(医療), Instructor(教育), Intra-Company Transferee(企業内転勤), Technical Intern Training(技能実習), Student(留学), Trainee(研修)

Notification of the Contracting Organization(契約機関に関する届出)
In case you are holding a visa status listed below, you need to submit this notification to the Immigratioin Office within 14 days after the following event occurs;
- Change of the name and the address and the extincition of the contracting organization.
- Termination of the contract with the organization due to change/quit of the job etc.
- Commencement of the contrtact with the new organization due to change of the job, admission etc.
- In case of notification of termination and commencement of the contract at the same time.

HSP1-a(高度専門職1号イ), HSP1-b(高度専門職1号ロ), HSP2(高度専門職2号), Reseacher(研究), Engineer/Specialist in Humanities/International Services(技術・人文知識・国際業務), Care Worker(介護), Entertainer (興行、only in case of contract directly with a Japanese entity), Skilled Worker(技能)

Notification of acceptance of mid-to-long-term resident(中長期在留者の受入れに関する届出)
Organizations which commence or terminate to accept Resident Card holders with a particular visa status must submit this notification within 14 days after commencing or terminating the acceptance.

Applicable visa type: work visa (exluding Artist, Religious Activities, Journalist, Designated Labor), Trainee, or Student

Notification Concerning the Spouse(配偶者に関する届出)
If you are holding Dependent, Spouse of a Japanese National, or Spouse of Permanent Resident, which is based on the status as a spouse, you must report of the divorce or the death of the spouse withing 14 days after the event occurs.

How to Submit the Notification
The Notification can be submitted by one of the following procedures;
- Submission in person at the Immigration Office (or the branch) which takes the jurisdiction over your residence address.
- By mail: send it to the Resident Management Information Department at the Tokyo Immigration Office along with a hard copy of your Residence Card (both front and back)
- Through the internet: log in Immigration Bureau e-Notification System after registration.
